What is the difference between “decorating a home” and “staging a home”?

Decorating a home is tailored to the desires of the homeowner and creating a design that speaks to the individual homeowner’s personal tastes. Home Staging is neutralizing that style to showcase the property’s best selling features as a product to appeal to the largest number of potential home buyers.

Why should I have my home professionally staged?

It is very difficult for homeowners to view their home as a “product” because they are emotionally attached to the home. On the other hand, a professional home stager is aware of buyer trends and can objectively view a home to focus on the most important selling points that would be important to potential buyers. Since only 10% of prospective buyers can see the potential in a home, it is very important to present the home in the best light and do it in a way that would appeal to the greatest number of buyers.

How much does staging cost?

How long does staging take?

Once the client has done the de-cluttering and the assigned tasks (i.e. minor repairs), it would take us roughly 1 to 2 days to perform our staging services.

What is Interior Redesign?

Interior Redesign is the art of transforming your existing space into something extraordinary, while using all or most of your own furniture, art, and accessories. As a professional design firm, we take the time to truly understand how you use your space to create a design approach that speaks to your own personal lifestyle and your own personal preferences. This includes potentially reconfiguring your space to better fit your lifestyle, color consultation, furniture placement, and accessorizing. We are trained in design principles such as scale, proportion, line, balance, harmony, and rhythm to help create an amazing space for you! You’ll be surprised to see how quickly a room can go from “blah” to amazing!

Do you offer “One Day Makeovers”?

Yes! Depending on the extent of the services needed, we can redo one room or a whole house. First, we’d schedule a design consultation to learn your project’s priorities and discuss design options. Next, we’d offer a Report of Recommendations listing the details discussed in the design consultation. Once you’ve completed any prep work that may need to be done, we can come in and complete the design portion of the report. You can leave for a few hours to spend time with family and/or friends, and come back to a “redesigned” space!

How much do Redesign Services cost?

Depending on which services are needed, it can cost as little as $349 (additional $50 for evening or weekend hours) for the design with you implementing the recommendations on your own. If you would like to hire a HAVEN professional to implement the Report of Recommendations, we would put together a bid to determine the cost or bill on an hourly basis, dependent on the size of the project. We can tailor project goals to meet your design needs. You’ll be surprised to see how much we can do, even with a modest budget!
